The Winnipeg Jets and the NHL today released the 48-game schedule for the 2012-13 NHL regular season.

The Jets will begin their second season back in Winnipeg at MTS Centre as they play host to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, January 12 with a 2:00pm.

The Winnipeg Jets 48-game schedule consists of five games each versus Southeast divisional opponent Florida Panthers and Washington Capitals, four games each versus divisional opponent Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes, and three games each versus the remaining 10 teams in the Eastern Conference.

There will be four all-Canadian matchups at MTS Centre during the 2012-13 season. Winnipeg hosts the Ottawa Senators on January 19, Toronto Maple Leafs on February 7 and March 12, and Montreal Canadiens on April 25.

Winnipeg’s longest homestand during the 2012-13 regular season will last six games beginning on April 6, when they host the Philadelphia Flyers, and ending on April 20 versus the New York Islanders. The team will take to the road for a season-high five consecutive games beginning February 19 visiting the Buffalo Sabres and concluding February 26 versus the New York Rangers.

Start times are indicated on the schedule in central time. Times may vary depending on broadcast requirements. New to the Jets schedule this season, standard weekday start times will be at 7:00pm locally unless otherwise scheduled. Television broadcast schedules have yet to be determined.
