Microsoft Ends Support of Windows XP

Tuesday, April 8, 2014 marks the death of one of the greatest Operating Systems to run a personal computer. Microsoft will no longer be providing support for Windows XP, which will leave any computer left running it vulnerable to hackers and security threats.

Your computer will continue to work but you run the risk of it being vulnerable to the millions of hackers out there wanting to compromise your computer.

If you ever have to use a public computer still running Windows XP – then you probably want to take caution on what you do on it. Banking or logging into email/social media accounts is very dangerous on a public computer, especially one running Windows XP.

It was a great 13-year run for the Operating System… but now Windows wants you to either upgrade to Windows 7, or Windows 8. It may also be an excuse to move to Apple’s OSX and get a new MacBook Pro or iMac!
