Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves to Play Preseason Game in Winnipeg

The Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves will play an NBA preseason game at MTS Centre on Saturday, October 10, 2015.


The NBA Canada Series will once again bring the beloved sport of professional basketball to Winnipeg. Last years NBA Canada Series excluded Winnipeg and had games played in Vancouver and Montreal.

This years NBA Canada Series will see games in Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver and Winnipeg.

The last time Winnipeg hosted an NBA game was on October 24, 2012 when the Minnesota Timberwolves played the Detroit Pistons — two struggling teams at the time.

This years game won’t be a small market exhibition. It will feature the six-time NBA champion Chicago Bulls and a very talented Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwovles will have the first pick in the NBA draft this year and Winnipeg will get to witness him first hand.

The Timberwolves also have Andrew Wiggins, the young Canadian star who Cleveland picked #1 overall in the 2014 draft. He would eventually be traded to the Wolves for Kevin Love.

Tickets start at $19.50 (plus fees) with courtside available starting at $175.00 (plus fees).

Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 6 at 10:00am.
