Folklorama 2015: Spain Pavilion

Access Winnipeg has been out and about covering the two week festival of Folklorama. It is the largest cultural gathering in North America and a top tourist attraction.

The Spanish women in Week 1 of Folklorama were amazing dancers in a packed house. Great food and sangria!

More picture and more pavilions to come!

BIENVENIDOS!

Welcome to the exciting world of Spain! The Sol de España dance group will captivate you with the clicking of castanets and rhythmic footwork as their spirited performance of the Spanish Flamenco has you striking a familiar pose. Taste the many flavours of Spain in traditional dishes like Paella (rice, chicken and seafood), Gambas al Ajillo (garlic shrimp), chicken Flamenco, and chorizo sausage. Cool down with an Estrella beer or our refreshingly fruity sangria. Our cultural display will feature a representation of Spain’s diverse cultural roots and a collection of beautiful objects hand-crafted by Winnipeg’s Spanish Club members.
