Lexus has made the impossible possible.
The hoverboard relies on superconductors and magnets that lift board and rider above the ground. Liquid nitrogen cools the superconductors to -321 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature at which they become superconducting.
Unfortunately, it needs a metal skatepark to function, so we won’t be seeing these on the streets of Winnipeg any time soon.
