Bombers Sign Quarterback Matt Nichols to New Three Year Contract

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed starting quarterback Matt Nichols to a new three year contract.

Matt Nichols replaced Drew Willy as the starting quarterback in week 6 of the 2016 season. He went on to lead the Bombers on a seven game winning streak and secured the Bombers first playoff birth in five years.

He finished the 2016 season with 327 of 471 (69.4%) passes for 3666 yards, 18 touchdowns, and just 9 interceptions.
