Disney’s Haunted Mansion is originally a popular dark ride attraction found in multiple Disney theme parks around the world. It originated at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, and has since been replicated in other Disney parks, including Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland. The attraction is based on the concept of a haunted house, and it incorporates elements of humor, spooky effects, and a richly detailed haunted mansion setting.
In 2003, the first comedy film based on the popular Disney theme park attraction was released. The film was directed by Rob Minkoff and starred Eddie Murphy.
The 2023 reboot will hit theatres on July 28.
