There’s a new government in Manitoba. The 43rd General Election has concluded with the NDP winning a majority government. Leader Wab Kinew will make history becoming the first premier of First Nations descent in a Canadian province.

The NDPs have won 34 seats, nearly double the 18 seats the won last election. The PCs took 22 seats, down from the 36 they won in 2019. The Liberals will occupy only 1 seat, down from 3.
