It’s back! Every Friday evening during the month of August, Assiniboine Park will once again provide free family entertainment at the Lyric Theatre with Movies in the Park. They’ll be screening favourite summer blockbusters on a cinema-style outdoor screen. All you have to do is bring a chair, blanket and some snacks!
All events and performances are open to the public and FREE thanks to generous sponsorship and donor support.

Audio description is available for Movies in the Park. Please bring a smartphone and headphones (optional) and stop by our staff tent at the Lyric Theatre to get a QR code to access the audio description.
Will food and drinks be available for purchase?
Yes. A concession at the Lyric Theatre will be open and selling hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, beverages, and much more!
The Leaf Coffee Bar serves grab-and-go beverages, snacks, lunches, and treats! Located in The Leaf, the coffee bar is accessible to all Park visitors, without admission to the biomes. Open daily, 9:00am – 8:0 pm!
The Park Café Treats Window is located on the outside of the Park Café building near the Riley family Duck Pond, and serves snacks, beverages, and ice cream for take-out! Open daily, 9:00am – 4:00pm.
