McDonald’s Canada is once again bringing flavours from around the world to Canadian restaurants with the return of its World Menu Heist and we have the first look at the 2026 lineup.
Following the success of last year’s international menu promotion, McDonald’s Canada is bringing the concept back for a second year in a row, with a new collection of limited-time menu items inspired by McDonald’s offerings from Japan, Spain, Australia and the Netherlands.
The new McDonald’s Canada World Menu Heist 2026 menu is set to arrive at participating restaurants across Canada on August 18, 2026.
What is McDonald’s World Menu Heist?
The World Menu Heist is all about bringing some of the most interesting and popular McDonald’s menu items from around the world to Canada — giving customers a chance to try international flavours without needing a passport.
The concept first made its way to Canadian McDonald’s restaurants in 2025 under the name International Menu Heist. The inaugural Canadian lineup featured six items inspired by McDonald’s menus from six different countries.
The campaign proved to be a hit with customers curious about what McDonald’s serves in other parts of the world, and now the menu heist is back with an entirely new collection for 2026.
McDonald’s World Menu Heist 2025: What Was on the Menu?
Before looking at this year’s lineup, here’s a look back at the original 2025 Canadian International Menu Heist.
The first Canadian edition launched on June 24, 2025 and featured four food items and two dipping sauces.
- Japan — Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich
- Germany — Big Rösti
- Italy — McPizza Bites
- Belgium — Biscoff McFlurry
- United Kingdom — Garlic Mayo-Style Sauce
- Australia — Sweet Tangy Chili Dip
The 2025 lineup was available for a limited time at participating McDonald’s restaurants across Canada.
NEW McDonald’s World Menu Heist 2026 Menu
This year’s lineup takes the World Menu Heist in a different direction, with four new international menu items coming from Japan, Spain, Australia and the Netherlands.
Here’s what Canadians can expect starting August 18.
- Japan — Garlic & Black Pepper Chicken McNuggets
McDonald’s is giving its classic Chicken McNuggets an international makeover with the Garlic & Black Pepper Chicken McNuggets from Japan. The nuggets are coated with garlic and a distinct kick of black pepper, giving the familiar McNuggets a much more savoury and peppery flavour. They will be available in 6, 9 and 20-piece options. - Japan — Black Garlic Sauce
The Japanese stop on the World Menu Heist also includes a Black Garlic Sauce, a savoury dipping sauce designed to complement the Garlic & Black Pepper Chicken McNuggets. - Spain — McExtreme Pulled Pork
Spain is bringing a much more substantial item to this year’s heist with the McExtreme Pulled Pork. The burger features a beef patty topped with tender pulled pork, creating a loaded combination that is quite a departure from McDonald’s usual Canadian burger lineup. - Australia — Chicken Parmi Burger
Australia is represented by the Chicken Parmi Burger, a sandwich inspired by the popular chicken parmesan-style dish. It features a crispy chicken patty topped with tangy tomato or marinara-style sauce, cheese and bacon, all served on a classic McDonald’s bun. It’s essentially the fast-food version of a chicken parm sandwich — and easily one of the most substantial items in this year’s World Menu Heist. - The Netherlands — Stroopwafel McFlurry
For dessert, McDonald’s is heading to the Netherlands with the Stroopwafel McFlurry. The limited-time McFlurry features traditional Dutch caramel stroopwafel cookie pieces and syrup, combining the creamy soft serve with a sweet, caramel-filled crunch. If you enjoyed the Biscoff McFlurry from last year’s lineup, the Stroopwafel McFlurry could be the international dessert to watch this time around.
When Does the McDonald’s World Menu Heist 2026 Menu Start in Canada?
The new McDonald’s World Menu Heist 2026 items will begin arriving at participating McDonald’s restaurants across Canada on August 18, 2026.
As with last year’s promotion, the items are expected to be available for a limited time only, meaning fans will want to try them while they are on the menu.
The international menu concept has also continued expanding beyond Canada. McDonald’s markets around the world have been using the World Menu Heist concept to bring international favourites to local customers, including menus featuring items from Canada, Japan and other countries.
