On Monday January 25, 2010 – Wal-mart, one of the largest retailers in the world, will have a No Plastic Day. Every Wal-mart in Winnipeg will not provide plastic bags at check-out. It’s a one day only thing but hopefully a step towards going bagless permanently.
Also on No Plastic Day, Wal-mart will be giving out free reusable bags to the first 300 people in each store. I always love when huge corporations make moves to go green and hope that more follow soon.
