As expected in a teams inaugural season, the Winnipeg Jets topped the NHL’s merchandise sales for the 2011/2012 season. And why not? The teams new logo, new image, and new colors have all been taken in with open arms.
As Frank’s RedHot would say it: They put that sh*t on everything! Shot glasses, coffee mugs, wall clocks, barbecue covers, underwear… you name it, there’s a Winnipeg Jets branded version of it. Heck, even T-Pain is wearing Jets gear.
The NHL didn’t reveal specific numbers, but it isn’t hard to believe that the Jets would be at the top. Now that everyone has either a Jets shirt, sweater, or jersey, next seasons merchandise sales should be more at par with the rest of the league. [WINNIPEG FREE PRESS]
