If you’ve got a cottage or cabin in Ontario than this the news you’ve been waiting for all summer! Border restrictions on anyone entering Ontario from Manitoba will be lifted on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
Ontario’s public health order, which was put in place on April 19, banned travellers from Manitoba and Quebec unless it was for work, medical care, transport of goods, and Indigenous treaty rights.
During the May long weekend, the Ontario Provincial Police checked over 1,200 vehicles and denied 42 drivers entry into the province. Manitobans are reminded to continue to follow the public health measures while visiting Ontario.
