American retailer Nordstrom has announced that it will move north of the border starting in fall 2014. It will be their first expansion outside the US. The first four Canadian stores will be in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary and Vancouver.

Polo Park General Manager Deborah Green tells CJOB that there are no talks of a location in Winnipeg quite yet, but with large chains such as IKEA and Target opening up shop, we have to believe that it’s only a matter of time.

The tentative timeline for the Nordstrom stores opening are: fall of 2014 in Calgary, spring 2015 in Ottawa and Vancouver, and fall 2016 in Toronto. Their online store has also recently began shipping to Canada. [CJOB]
