A plan to modernize Manitoba liquor laws might see us drinking alcohol at spas and hair salons next year. The plan will also allow patrons to drink at a restaurant without having a meal.

Special events will also be allowed to serve alcohol for longer hours. An example would be if Winnipeg hosted the Grey Cup or a Winnipeg Jets playoff game… it could be possible for venues to serve for 20-24 hours.

Minimum prices will remain the same. Requirement to have at least three people to share a pitcher of beer will stay in effect. The ban on all-you-can-drink events, except for private events such as open-bar wedding receptions, also remains. [CTV WINNIPEG]
