Legendary hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan, will be coming to Burton Cummings Theatre on Friday, June 27, 2014. Don’t miss your chance to see the most revolutionary rap group of the mid-’90s. Kris Ex of Rolling Stone called Wu-Tang Clan “the best rap group ever.” and in 2004, NME hailed them as one of the most influential groups of the last ten years.
The Wu-Tang Clan was assembled in the early 1990s by RZA. He served as the groups leader and producer. RZA and the late ODB got the name for the group from the film Shaolin and Wu Tang. The group’s debut album loosely adopted a Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang theme, dividing the album into Shaolin and Wu-Tang sections.
