The first day of school for the 2014-15 Winnipeg School Division year will be on Wednesday, September 3, 2014.
All schools under the Winnipeg School Division will be open. Nursery and Kindergarten classes will have staggered start dates, all Nursery and Kindergarten programs will start by the 4th day of school at the latest.
Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 is an Administrative Day. All staff will be in attendance but students do NOT attend on this day.
Motorists are also reminded that the speed limit in school zones have now been reduced to 30 kilometres a hour. These speed limits are in effect from 7:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, September to June.
Most elementary schools begin at 9am, lunch at 12pm, and end at 3:30pm. Motorist a reminded to take extra caution while in school zones during these hours.
