August is going to be a great month for movies. You’ll have plenty of options for outdoor screenings of some great flicks: Movies in the Park, Movies on Memorial, and now this!
The Downtown Drive-In is back for the second year in a row. The screening will take place at MPI’s cityplace parking lot (behind the MTS Centre) every Saturday in August.
This years movie theme is Sci-Fi and they’ve got a great line up for us:
- August 1: Back to the Future Part II
- August 8: WALL-E
- August 15: Inception
- August 22: Guardians of the Galaxy
- August 29: Jurassic World
Showtime: Parking lot opens at 7:30, movies start at sundown.
The screenings are FREE for people arriving on bikes, transit, or on foot. If you prefer to take in the true Drive-In experience and be in your car, you can reserve a parking space for $10.
