At approximately 1:55pm today, the national Alert Ready system will be tested in Manitoba.
All compatible LTE cellphones will hear a loud tone similar to an ambulance siren as well as a 8 second vibration. Your phone will also display a message indicating the emergency.
The alerts a designed to notify citizens of sever weather threats, terrorist threats, and amber alerts for missing children.
