The smell of smoky barbecue is about to take over Winnipeg as the Western Canada Rib Fest Tour rolls into town for three days of ribs, pulled pork, live entertainment, and family fun this weekend.
Running from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31, 2026, the event will take place at Red River Exhibition Park and promises plenty of mouthwatering food and activities for all ages.
Organizers say visitors can expect a lineup of rib teams serving up slow-cooked ribs, smoked meats, sausage, pulled pork sandwiches, and classic fair-style favourites. The festival will also feature live entertainment throughout the weekend alongside activities designed for families and kids.
Best of all, admission is completely free, making it one of Winnipeg’s top free food festivals to check out this spring.
Event hours begin at 11:00 a.m. daily. The festival runs until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday wraps up earlier at 7:00 p.m.
Parking locations will vary depending on the day. Guests visiting on Friday and Saturday can use the West Parking Lot, while Sunday parking will be available at the Exhibition Place Parking Lot off Race Track Road through Gate 2.
