The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has approved Centra Gas’s application to increase the current Primary Gas rate from $0.0909/m3 to $0.0945/m3. That equates to about a 1.04% increase and is effective May 1, 2019.
Residential customers are expected to see an increase of $8 per year. Rates will reviewed again on August 1, 2019. Primary gas is currently a pass-through cost for Centra. The company charges customers what it pays and doesn’t make a profit.
