That special time of year when Maple Grove is transformed into a den of volleyball, spandex and booze. The annual rec tournament kicked off in style yesterday and despite the first night being typically more low key than Saturday, the energy was good out on the courts and especially in the beer tent.
Tonight should be, to use the parlance of our times, a GONG show. Default are headlining and the Red Bull Beach Party will offer some mixture of Red Bull and Vodka that you may have heard of.
Stay tuned for my recap tomorrow which will hopefully include enjoying some volleyball, getting to meet Cabbie from The Score and figuring out a pick up line that might work on a girl over six feet tall.
