Peak of the Market’s 12th annual Family Fun Day will be this Thursday August 13, 2009 from 7:00am to 5:00pm. Everything is absolutely FREE with “any” donation to Child Find Manitoba.

Family Fun Day will be held on Peak of the Market’s lawn at 1200 King Edward Street at Dublin in Winnipeg. Here is a list of events happening throughout the day:

7:00am to 10:00am
* FREE potato pancake breakfast prepared by Chef Craig Guenther
* FREE coffee and hot chocolate courtesy of Tim Horton’s
* FREE Winnipeg Sun Newspapers (while quantities last)

7:00am to 5:00pm
* FREE giant slide
* FREE bouncers in two sizes
* several washrooms and wash sinks will be available
* bottled water, juice and Pepsi products available at $1.00 each

9:00am to 4:00pm
* FREE pony rides
* FREE petting zoo
* FREE popcorn (yes – corn is a vegetable)
* FREE colourful hair extension by MC College
* FREE “Peak of the Market” Waterless Temporary Tattoos applied
* FREE tours of Peak of the Market’s Packing and Distribution Centre
* All Children’s Family Artwork Contest entries on display

10:00am to 4:30pm
* FREE parking at the west lot of Red River College
* Peak of the Market will have a FREE air-conditioned shuttle bus running continuously between Peak and the College

11:00am to 2:00pm
* FREE perogy and corn on the cob lunch (perogies compliments Naleway Foods Ltd.)
* Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Fire Safety House
* Fire Engine on Display
* Goldie, Winnipeg Goldeyes’ Mascot stopping by
* 102 ClearFM Cruiser will be live on location
* 92 CITI Cruiser will be live on location
* 99.9 BobFM Vehicle will be live on location
* Curve 94.3 Vehicle will be live on location

The Peak of the Market store will also be open all day with net proceeds going to Child Find Manitoba. Merchandise specials will include Winnipeg Goldeyes’ plastic cereal bowl $1, Peak “Proud Canadian” backpack $2, Winnipeg Goldeyes’ “Mr. Potato Heads” $3, Peak re-usable “I proudly shop Canadian” heavy-duty shopping bags $3 and Winnipeg Goldeyes’ tin lunch box $5 (all prices include taxes).
