Wild Wing Restaurant

Hello Winnipeg, we are Mr. and Mrs. Restaurant. We’re passionate about food, but not about cooking. After growing tired of everyday chain restaurants, we began our search for the best hidden eateries the city has to offer. Ever wonder if that trendy new place is worth the money; or if that greasy burger joint lives up to all the hype? Just ask Mr. and Mrs. Restaurant!

This Canadian franchise is popular in Ontario and Alberta and since their opening in Winnipeg, they seem to be a hit here as well.

The atmosphere at Wild Wing is casual, laid-back and fun. It is not fancy by any means, but is perfect for enjoying some wings and drinks! The servers are friendly and quick to explain “how it works” when it comes to the huge list of chicken wing options.

The menu is not limited to only chicken wings though; they also offer a number of appetizers, like calamari, mac and cheese bites, nachos and salads. There are sections of the menu dedicated to wraps, sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs; so if you’re not a wing lover, that’s okay too.

At first glance, the wing menu is overwhelming of course, but they’re organized well enough that you can focus in on your preferences to narrow it down. Choices are separated into smaller sections like “Hot n Bothered”, “Honey I’m Home”, “Creamy n Messy” or “Lets Get Naked”.

We ordered a few different flavors (sweet escape, come get some and my thai), all of which were saucy, juicy and satisfying. Many of the wings and other menu items feature Wild Wing’s signature garlic parmesan sauce, or Gar Par. This sauce is a must-try; even if you just order it for dipping.

We had a great experience at Wild Wing and even though there are a lot of other places to enjoy wings in Winnipeg; none of them are quite like this. If you’re a wing-lover and you have yet to check this place out, go try it!
