Blue Bombers Banjo Bowl Officially Sold Out

The annual Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Banjo Bowl has now officially sold out. With two zones, one for 18+ and one aimed at fun for the whole family, fans of all ages will be able to enjoy the fun before the game.

Taking place on the Plaza located on the south east corner of the stadium footprint beginning at 11am, the family fun zone will feature inflatables, football themed drills, a dunk tank and many more activities aimed at pleasing the entire family.

The tailgate zone for the 18+ crowd will also begin at 11am and will feature food trucks from across the city, music services provided by Crystal Sound, Shark Club waitresses serving products at a Beer Garden, along with a Blue Bomber Alumni Autograph session.

Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Banjo Bowl Weekend Events:

Friday, September 6th

  • Banjo Bowl Bash, Concert Bowl at McPhillips Station Casino from 7pm-11pm where fans can meet players and get their pictures taken with the Banjo Bowl Trophy.

Saturday, September 7th Fan Appreciation Day

  • Family Fun Zone open on the Plaza from 11am-3pm with music provided by Crystal Sound and featuring inflatables, a dunk tank, football drills among many other family fun activities.
  • Blue Bomber walk through from 11:05am-11:50am at Investors Group Field; first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free hot dog, chips and pop.
  • Blue Bomber team autograph signing in the Pinnacle Club at Investors Group Field from 12:30pm-2pm
  • University of Manitoba Bisons host the University of Saskatchewan Huskies with a 5pm kickoff at Investors Group Field.
  • Blue Bomber Alumni Blast at Area Nightclub from 7pm-11pm

Sunday, September 8th

  • Tailgate zones open at 11am on the Plaza.
  • Gates to Investors Group Field open at 1pm
  • Kickoff set for 3pm between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Saskatchewan Roughriders
  • Halftime show featuring Winnipeg’s own Bad Country.

At the old Canad Inns Stadium, the Bombers had the ability to add up to 250 additional seats for sold out games – but it doesn’t look like it will be happening for IG Field.
