If you’re a parent who isn’t a fan of long walks in chilly Winnipeg weather, then perhaps you’ll want to bring your kids some of Winnipeg’s safe Trick-or-Treating options.

Various malls throughout the city will be offering Safe Trick-or-Treating where kids can collect candy from various stores. Parent’s have peace of mind that their kids are safe from traffic and any strange homes they may come across.

St. Vital Centre (Saturday, October 31):
Monsters, zombies, ghosts, butterflies, fairies and superheroes can come and stay dry and warm on October 31 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm for Safe Trick or Treating!

Kildonan Place (Friday, October 30):
Kildonan Place’s Safe Trick or Treating will take place the day before Halloween, on Friday, October 30 (not Saturday).

Bring your little ghouls and goblins to KP for safe Halloween trick-or-treating on Friday, October 30 from 2:00pm – 4:30pm.

Start at Guest Services to receive a free treat bag and list of participating stores.

Grant Park (Friday, October 30):

Grant Park’s Safe Trick or Treating will take place the day before Halloween, on Friday, October 30 (not Saturday).

An Evening at Hogwarts will welcome kids of ALL ages to the magical world of Harry Potter and his friends. Walk through the display area found at the west end of the mall, and trick or treat inside the comfort of the shopping centre from 4:00pm to 7:30pm! Parents, don’t forget your cameras.

There will also be a FREE photo booth in the mall where everyone can get their mug shots taken for Azkaban Prison. Take home your photo on the spot!

Parents will enjoy free refreshments from McDonald’s and DAVIDsTEA and several tenants will be offering special activities for the kids at their stores.

99.1 Fresh FM will also be broadcasting live on site and handing out candy to the kids as well!

Portage Place (Saturday, October 31):
Portage Place tenants and business would like to make this Halloween safe and secure for your children.

On Saturday, October 31 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm kids accompanied by their parents are welcome to visit participating businesses for some special Halloween treats.

Participants merchants will have orange and black balloons outside their stores to let parents and their children know that they have Halloween treats (while supplies last)

The Forks Market (Saturday, October 31):
Make your way around The Forks Market from 12:00pm – 3:00pm for safe trick or treating event for kids of all ages! Stop in Centre Court to design your own trick or treat bag and get your face painted!

CF Polo Park Shopping Centre (Saturday, October 31):
There’s no official Halloween event at Polo Park, but various stores usually offer treats for kids in costumes.
