Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. They will have new features, more powerful hardware and a nicer design.

This year, the models will come in two different sizes. The Galaxy S7 will have a 5.1-inch screen, and the Galaxy S7 Edge will have a much larger 5.5-inch screen.

Both phones share the same resolution at 1,440 by 2,560, so the smaller S7 will have 577 pixels per inch, while the larger S7 Edge will have 534 pixels per inch.

One of the main differences is the Galaxy S7 gets a 3,000 mAh battery and the Galaxy S7 edge gets a larger 3,600 mAh battery. The larger battery is for the larger screen. Both will support fast charging as well as wireless charging.

The phones will have a Exynos 8890 Octa or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB of RAM.

For the phone-ographers out there, both phones will feature a “Dual Pixel” 12 MP shooter with an F/1.7 lens and optical image stabilization. The front-facing ‘selfie’ camerawill be a 5 MP shooter with an F/1.7 lens.

Making its return is the microSD card slot. However, it is located in the same location as the SIM card slot – so it wont be easily accessible for hot swapping cards.

Both phones are now IP68 certified, which makes them waterproof at up to 1.5 m in depth for up to 30 minutes.
