City Hall is expected to approve the plan to open two new restaurants at the Peguis Pavilion at Kildonan Park. The pavilion has been vacant for almost 5 years.
WOW Hospitality, which operates 529 Wellington, is expect to sign a 10 year lease and open a similar upscale fine dining restaurant at the 100 seat pavilion. A casual cafe serving snacks and coffee will also open at the front of the building.
The City has recently spent $2 million renovating the pavilion and will soon rebuild the nearby duck pond. If approved, the restaurant could be open for business as early as Summer 2013.
