Winnipeg Transit has announced that all thier buses will be equipped with 5 security cameras by 2010.
The cameras and its installation will cost $2.8 million, thats a lot of bus tickets. I am still not sure what really trigger this move? Has transit bus crime been a problem in the past?
A problem or not, I think its a great move to ensure the safety of the drivers and its passengers.
