The WWE has a long history in Winnipeg, dating back to the early days of the company. The city has hosted several major WWE (formerly WWF) events over the years, including pay-per-views and live shows. One of the more notable Winnipeg connections to the world of wrestling is Chris Jericho.
Chris Jericho, born in Manhasset, New York, but raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a professional wrestler and musician who has a special connection to the city. Jericho has often spoken fondly of his time growing up in Winnipeg, and he has credited the city with helping to shape him into the person he is today. He has also given back to the community, hosting a charity event called “Rock N Wrestling Rager at Sea” that has raised money for several Winnipeg-based organizations. Additionally, Jericho has frequently mentioned Winnipeg during his time in the ring, often referring to it as his hometown and eliciting cheers from the crowd.
Tickets start at $20, plus fees, and Ringsider experiences are also available! Tickets will go on sale to the general public Thursday, April 6 at 10:00am at Ticketmaster.ca.
