Uniqlo is officially coming to Winnipeg! The CF Polo Park location will be one of two stores opening in Winnipeg, with the second planned for St. Vital Shopping Centre. Both locations represent the brand’s first-ever stores in the city, giving Winnipeggers direct access to one of the world’s most recognizable apparel retailers.

What is Uniqlo?

Founded in Japan in 1984, Uniqlo began as a single clothing store in Hiroshima and has since grown into a global fashion brand with thousands of locations worldwide. Operated by parent company Fast Retailing, Uniqlo is best known for its focus on what it calls “LifeWear” — everyday clothing designed to be simple, functional, durable, and accessible. Rather than chasing fast-moving fashion trends, the brand emphasizes timeless basics enhanced by innovative fabric technologies like HEATTECH for cold weather, AIRism for breathable comfort, and Ultra Light Down for lightweight warmth.

Uniqlo Expanding It’s Presence in Canada

In Canada, Uniqlo made its debut in 2016 with a flagship store at CF Toronto Eaton Centre. Since then, the company has steadily expanded across the country, opening stores in major markets such as Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and Ottawa. The Winnipeg expansion signals continued confidence in the Canadian market and reflects the brand’s strategy of entering strong regional shopping hubs.

Uniqlo CF Polo Park Location

The CF Polo Park Uniqlo store will be located on the second floor in the former Sears space, a prominent area that has been undergoing significant redevelopment in recent years. The new store will sit directly above the newly opened Zara, placing it in one of the mall’s most high-traffic fashion zones. Shoppers can expect a full selection of men’s, women’s, kids’, and baby apparel, along with seasonal collections and popular graphic T-shirts from the UT line.

A second Winnipeg location is also planned for St. Vital Shopping Centre, further expanding Uniqlo’s reach within the city and making its stores accessible to both west and south Winnipeg shoppers.
