A new 385,000 square foot outlet mall called Outlet Collection at Winnipeg will be coming to Winnipeg in 2017. It will be developed by IvanhoƩ Cambridge, Harvard Developments and Forster Projects. They plan to have it open by Spring 2017.
The Outlet Collection at Winnipeg will be developed on a 40-acre site northwest of Kenaston Boulevard and Sterling Lyon Parkway. IvanhoƩ Cambridge recently completed development on the Outlet Collection at Niagara in Southern Ontario. The 100-store outlet mall in Niagara is schedule to open in May. Outlet Collection at Winnipeg will be the first pure outlet centre in Winnipeg and will offer superior brands from more than 90 retailers. It will feature warm natural finishes, innovative day-lighting strategies, bold graphic patterning and materials to create a unique and exciting shopping and dining environment.

In 2013, Winnipeg saw a retail sales growth of 3.6% and more than 3500 housing starts.
