Did you know that when you play VLT’s at lounges/restaurants in Winnipeg the siteholder receives 20 percent in commission? The 20 percent rate is the highest in Western Canada.
Siteholders have actually been receiving such an increase in commission that starting in October, the Manitoba Lotteries Commission will be charging them GST. The only exceptions will be veterans’ organizations and the MTS Centre.
So next time your sticking in that $20 into Bonus Poker or Lobster Mania, you now know that $4 (minus operating costs) is actually going to the siteholder.
